I am researching the above family from Stoke, St. Milborough, Shropshire and I would be interested in hearing from anyone else researching this family.
Due to the variation in the spelling it has been good fun but I have an unconfirmed line running back to approx 1643 and I am now working on the more recent people. Is anyone able to check the 1841 census to see if James Wires (born 1791, Stoke, St. Milborough) was still alive then and who was living with him? If there is no trace of him how about his son James Wires (born 1827, Coseley).
