Hi

I would like a few more details if you have them on your Harry Parsons, Parsosn does not seem to be a name from the Channel Islands and I have one that supposedly came from there.

Ki Kerrie. This is all I have:

Harry J Parsons b. c: 1869 St Peter Port, occupation Fruitgrower. He lived with wife Frances Priscilla (Boucher b. St PP) and son Archibald Tardif (8) at "Oatlands", St Sampson in 1901. They sold their produce at Covent Garden, London in later years & young Archibald worked in a Bank in London.

Parents of Harry J Parsons:
Father: Jonathon (jno) Hamilton Parsons b: c. 1841 St PP, occupation Fruiterer, Florist, Seedsman.
Mother: Margaret Lydia Dumarey Alexander b: c. 1838 SPP.
Children:
Henry John Parsons b. 3 Nov 1867 SPP; Harry J. Parsons b: c. 1869 SPP; Edward Parsons b: c. 1870 SPP; Ada Parsons b: c. 1872 SPP; Margaret W. Parsons b: c. 1875 SPP; Albert S. Parsons (cousin?) b: c. 1875 St Martins.

Parents of Jonathon Hamilton Parsons:
Father: Jacob Parsons b: c. 1807 Ashub, Somersetshire, UK (Farmer)
Mother: Rachel ? b: c. 1807 in Castel, Guernsey

Jacob & Rachel were living with Jonathon, & his 2 daughters Ada & Margaret at Kings Road, SPP in 1891.

Jacob & Rachel had another son Alfred Knight Parsons b: c. 1848 "Farmer". He married Emma ? & they had 2 boys: Walter b: c. 1878 & Frank b: c. 1880 in St Sampson.
Another child found living with John & Margaret was Martin Parsons (cousin?) b: c. 1856 from Alderney.
Hope this shines some light on your research. Let me know if this is of interest. Rgds, Aussie Boucher

The system appears to be doubling-up some of the information - don't know why!

Doubling up is a system fault - nothing can be done about it. Just keep your posts short - write 2 posts if you need to.

TARDIF is a well known name in Quebec, Canada.
