Need guidance.

My great uncle Private J Kenyon (Reg No 9960) served with the East Lancashire Regiment,he died of enteric disease 24 June 1901 and was buried in Bloemfontein Cemetary his name appears on the main monument.

Could someone advise me, there would have been a death certificate written by the medical officer, were would the death be registered being that he was overseas at that time, would it be at the home town of his regiment or his own home town or somewere else.

You want the GRO military war deaths indexes.
These are available at the Family Records Centre

Once you have the reference, you can order the certificate from GRO in the usual way (specifying that it's an Overseas certificate you want and not the usual civil one).
