Hello all,

My Smalley OPS is running well on http://www.smalley-ops.co.uk/smalleyops.html but now I am running out of 'history' items, so I am looking at the pedigrees of Smalley people.

I am in the process of updating the KERRY pedigree which is on the site, as is the CARRINGTON line.
From these, I am using the other familes data that occurs in there, and adding to them using PRs, census data and local history, etc.

So far I have almost completed the HALLSWORTH and WOOLLANDS lines; ROE and CRESSWELL have been started, though the latter is causing problems as they seem to have originated in Denby.

I hope to start on WOOLLEY; KYTE; RATCLIFFE; MARTIN; BRENTNALL; BOOTH, and WIDDOWSON before too long.

So if you have any connection with any Smalley families, do get in touch with me.

Hi

I am researching the ancestors of Charlotte (or Charlotta Carrington) my ggggrandmother, who married Joseph Burgoin (or Burgoyne) in 1865. Her father is Edward Carrington, married to Mary A Foster (i think!) and I am trying to get a little further back. I have been able to confirm that Charlotte and her husband died in Dec 1872, but have been unable to connect them to anyone else. I was wondering if she was connected to your family?

Many thanks

Sam

As yet, there is no Charlotte or Carlotta in my Carrington data base; without knowing which area you are referring to, it isn't possible to say absolutely, that there is no connection.
However, I do have a couple of Edwards with nothing further known about them.
There is an IGI entry for Edward Carrington married to Mary Foster at North Wingfield on 16 Sept 1838 - is this your line?

Patrisia -

The links you posted do not work on my p.c. an error message states:
This page is not available etc.

Is there a glitch either with your links or my p.c.

I'm sure you will be well aware that the Rev. Kerry recorded his family tree - well I believe it was he.

Regards Jack

Hello Jack,

Yes there is a glitch at the moment.
I am in the process of renaming the site and the last stage is not yet complete. As usual, things that in theory should work, do not always go according to plan. :(

Yes, I do know about the Rev Charles Kerry ;)
When you get a chance to get back to the site, you will see that there is an entire Kerry pedigree there, based on the Rev's work but updated.
I have also begun to put on other Smalley family lines, which are also based on Charles Kerry's work.
