Glover

I am researching the Glover family who lived in the St Mabyn & St Kew area in the second half of the 1800s - early 1900s.
I would love to hear from anyone else researching this family.

I have been doing some modest genealogical work, including a DNA test, and discover that my Glovers (Gloviers) came from Scotland to America (probably to Virginia) sometime before the American Revolution.

I’m thinking that they may have come from Ayrshire or Perthshire. If you have interest in pursuing this quest, or if you have any information on Glovers who migrated to America, or if you have any recommendations on how to follow up in Scotland, please let me know.

In addition, I have used the familytreedna.com DNA test and found it quite successful. I discovered two very distant cousins, who have exactly the same DNA over 37 markers, and we have shared information after 150 years. The test is for males with the last name “Glover” and does not involve anything painful or bloody. You might know of males Glovers in Scotland who want to participate.
