Hi Denise

You asked for BMD info but you say they were all born in the UK so I'm assuming you are really looking for marriages of the children and deaths? Unfortunately there is a 70 year closure on death registrations and 80 year closure on marriage registrations so I think you may be out of luck unless you can prove next of kin. This is the website for the Office of the Registrar General of Ontario:
http://www.cbs.gov.on.ca/mcbs/english/births&marriages.htm

For future reference, this is the archives of Ontario:
http://www.archives.gov.on.ca/english/index.html
If you scroll down the page you will see links on the left side for Genealogy and Vital Statistics. The Vital Statistics pages will explain the years of registration that are available to the public.

If you are looking for living individuals you might try www.canada411.com (http://www.canada411.com). I did a search - there is one A. Walkden in Toronto but you might want to consider widening your search. There is a G. Walkden in Mississauga which is close enough to Toronto to be a possibility for Gregory.

Bear in mind that canada411 is an online telephone directory, the addresses given do not include apartment or unit numbers, so it might be pointless trying to write a letter.

Good Luck.

Linda

Hello Denise:

I did a quick search for the "Metzger" surname in the Toronto Globe and Mail newspaper archives online and got one hit: Thursday, October 27, 1977: Obituary for Dr P.F. Metzger, DDS, "...brother of Mrs W.J. Walkden (Mary) and uncle of William and John Walkden all of West Seneca."

Good hunting, Ian
