Two brothers, JOHN and Lawrence Holcombe (sons of LAWRENCE HOLCOMBE & MARY WILLIAMS) appear to have both named one of their daughters MARY after their mother.

I stand to be corrected if my information is incorrect.

Nicholas b.1743 found no other information
Sarah b.1747-----married JOHN CLARK 1771

*******
LAWRENCE Holcombe bapt 1714, St Decumans, F-Lawrence, M-Mary Williams

Hi,
Have you looked to see if either John or Lawrence Holcombe left Wills, one might mention his daughter or grandchildren named Wood?

Do you know what happened to the Mary who didn't marry William Wood? Anything relating to her might give a clue as to which one she was.

Thanks for your replies.

Unfortunately I don't know how to find wills in England. Any advise would be appreciated.

I haven't been able to find anything about the Mary who didn't marry William Wood. Although I can find a Mary who married a Nicholas Hawkes in 1778 in St Decumans.....not sure if this would be daughter of Lawrence.

Do the parish registers show if either Mary was buried young?
