Hi Kathy,
Do you have a George M Turnbull (b.1884 Cambois, NBL - d ?) marriage to an Isabella Chater in 1907 who have three Daughters?
Maisie Turnbull b. abt 1907 married a Mr. Holland they had one son
Jessie Annie Turnbull
Margaret Turnbull
They immigrated to the US in early 1900 but Returned to England shortly after and would have lived in Northumberland or Durham County. We've lost touch with the family.
I've have a very nice picture of Isabella and the girls from about 1915 and would love to verify the Chater surname.
Regards, Kevin

Jane Ellen MITCHELL b. 1864 was the daughter of Robert MITCHELL and Mary Jane ELLIS b. North Shields . She married John CHATER in South Shields on May 29th , 1882. They had two daughters Ellen b. 1883 and Mary Jane b. 1884 . They are on the 1891 North Shields census at 77 Bell Street with their MITCHELL grandparents. aged 7 and 6.. Ellen married William McLACKLAND in 1879 in Tynemouth and had . They had a daughter , another Ellen who was born in 1905 and I met this 100 years old sprightly lady last year in South Shields.
