I am looking for details and family of Captain Hamilton of the royal navy.
Christian name unknown, but he was the son of James Douglas 4th duke of Hamilton. :D

With the name of the father and his date of death from the above site, then go to Documents online to search for his will (enter James as a forename and Hamilton as a surname). His will may well mention all his children, including your Captain.
