Well, I just had to share this one:

Firstly, I decided (after Years of doing nothing on this line) to try to Find My Prudon/Pruden Family on the Shropshire 1841 Census.

Not having (at the moment) a subscription to view it online I Ordered the relevant disc from Archive CD Books (http://www.parishchest.com/en-gb/dept_2421.html)!

Less than 24Hrs later, I hear a 'Plop' on the Mat!

10mins later I was looking at My 3x Gt-Grandmothers entry in the Parish of Newport!

So Well Done Archive CD Books!

If Your reading this Rod:

If You are planning on making a Parish Register Disc for Newport, put Me Down for one!

We always make CDs to order... therefore receiving the order through the shopping cart sets things in motion. First thing each morning we process the orders and create a "shortfall" list of CDs to be made that day.

It is possible for us to make the CDs, print the covers, and get them packed and ready to go by the time that the postman arrives at about 4.30pm.... on a good day. :)

Cheers
Rod

Rod.

I looked through Your Catalogue List for Shropshire Parish Records & could not find Newport.

Would You be able to let me know If You could make Me a Disc of the Newport Parish Registers (I am looking for Marriage & Christenings prior to 1850).

Thank You
Peter

Sorry, but even assumiung that I could get hold of them (which is doubtful), the sales of CDs of such a specialist item would not cover the scanning and development costs.

Regards
Rod

Rod.

O.K. I just thought I would ask on the off chance that You had access to them.

If You did, then maybe others (reading this) may request the same, therebye making it possible for You to be able to make enough discs for it to be financially viable!
