Coldstream guards

Hi I am trying to find my dads records with the guards,he enlisted in 1955 till 1958.I got a letter from them saying they can find no service record for him and the only info they have is from the enlistment and discharge books.They gave me his service number 23206130.The date he enlistes and discharged. But where do I go next?

Sorry them is : Regimental Headquarters, Wellington Barracks,Birdcage Walk London
