Searching for information, memories, photographs and relatives of my grandmother Mary Irene Norton born 8 June 1918 in Talbot Inn, St Georges, Wrockwardine Wood. Her father was George Norton wood pattern maker at aeroplane works and her mother was Louisa May Norton (nee Winnall). i have just discovered that Mary Irene is my grandmother and I have never had contact with her. Mary Irene married Stanley Gordon Chapple and they had a son John Gordon Chapple born 1940 Barnstaple, Ilfracombe in Devon. In 1946 Mary Irene married her second husband Leslie Salter Hill in Bilston Stafford. In 1952, Mary Irene immigrated to Australia with her second husband and her son John (my father). I have traced Mary irene to an address in Melbourne Australia in the late 1950's. i believe she was divorced from her second husband in 1962. I do not know what happened to my grandmother after this. Her son died in Melbourne in 1990. If you have any information please contact me. If alive, Mary Irene has just had her 88th birthday. She has 5 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren living in Melbourne who have never met her.
