Canadian Forums?

Not to belittle this site in any way WHATSOEVER...I think it's GREAT...but can anyone recommend a similar forum based in canada?

Traffic here on the Canadian section is active but low...probably people who have some England >> Canada connections.

My problem(?) is that mine are apparently the other way..Canada >> to England in early 1800...have managed to establish that my maternal line is from Loyalists in Canada. Now I need to make the backwards connections between Canada and US...

Good luck, I've been trying for years with the transfer from the US to Canada. There are a few possiblilites.

1. Find out which state they are from and do an online census search for that state. I don't have the site handy, but if you google it, it will be easy.

2. Check for Canadian Naturalizations. They can be found in at the Canadian archives.

Bonne Chance, Most records of loyalists were destroyed and a great many changed their names.
