Help needed please

Hi Everyone

just a little question if my Grandad was in ww2 and I know what regiment he was in sort of ( royal artillery horses) how do I find out his number etc? is there any internet searches for ww2, ive found the ww1 one but not the ww2 one.

Hi,

you could try the records office Glasgow. I suspect you mean "Royal Horse Artillary" My dad served with 1st RHA in the 60's, and was in the Artillary during WWII.

You can make life easier if you know his service number, Have you got any paperwork or his medals? his name and number will be on the edge of the medals.
