Hello to everyone. I am searching for my GF Walton Harry EUSTON who was (according to the certs I have bought) born c:1884 in Tryddyn in Nth Wales to Wm EUSTON (a veterinary surgeon) & Mary NEWTON (or possibly Mabel Mary NEWTON). Walton move to Australia about 1904 and married Ella Gertrude SMITH in 1917. They had 3 children in 1920/23/27 before Walton died in 1930. I have been able to find details of Walton in Aust. but cannot find any records of his immigration, birth or his parents marriage in UK. I have also posted this MSG in Wales/Flintshire. Since I have been unable to find Walton or his parents in Wales I thought perhaps some-one elsewhere in UK may be able to help me unravel this mystery.
Kind Regards.
Peter Euston.

Hello everyone, I just thought I'd post a copy of the marriage registration in case a new set of eyes may pick up something I've missed.
Kind Regards

Sorry, I can not access your attachment.
How do you know he was born in Wales, does it state that on his marriage certificate??
Thanks Julie

Julie, it probably does, and gives his mother's maiden name! we are lucky in OZ :D
Also, his place of birth and age would be recorded on his children's birth regs.
Peter,
have you searched a wide range of years? he might have fibbed about his age, and if he was one of the last kids after nearly 30 years of marriage you could miss his parents marriage.
Have you found any of that surname in Tryddyn at all in that time frame.
One would think a vet would be easy to spot in the 1881 census!

I have had a really good search and there are no Euston's listed in Wales in 1881 or 1891, when at least Walton or his parents would have been presumably around. Walton is a very unusual British name and makes me wonder if it originated elsewhere.
Look forward to hearing what information is on the cert and maybe we will have better luck.
Have you tried to see if there is a register of Vets in the UK were the father maybe listed??!!
Julie
PS I also had a look for a Walton in England and Scotland but no joy - very mysterious

Hello and thankyou for reading and replying. I have tried several times but the attachments still failed. JPEG was unavailable on screen and GIF was always too large. Perhaps Rod may be able to give me some pointers on file attachments.
If you would like to send me a personal message I could email copies of all the certs I have so far.
When I sort it all out I'll post again.
Kind Regards
Peter Euston
