I am collecting information about LEWCOCKS.
My G (x4) grandfather SAMUEL LEWCOCK married Sarah Taphouse in Farnham, Surrey in 1793 and raised his large family there, but we have been unable to find out where he came from. He was a baker.
There are several Lewcocks just over the border in Hampshire, who seem to share the same family first names but I haven't been able to establish any connections as yet. Is there anybody else looking for Lewcocks or may have any information?
The Hampshire Lewcocks seem to be in the Heckfield, Hartley Wintney, Odiham and Rotherwick areas - not very far from Farnham.
