Hello

I would like to know if there is someone that can let me know the exact clasps entitlement of the Queen South Africa medal earned by Sir Horace Lockwood Smith-DORRIEN (1858-1930).

I think that the best place for medal research on him would be:

- "War Services of Military Officers" for some time in the 1920's or '30s, that usually gives all the medal and clasps earned;

- relvant Army Lists;

- Medal Rolls.

Unfortunately I cannot verify directly because I don't have a copy of them so ask the help of a kind soul that can be able to provide me with the correct listing.

Thanks

Lilo

P.S. From exame of many photos, He clearly wears 5 clasps to his QSA.

The "Hart's Army List, 1912" gives the QSA with four clasps but is not clasp specific. A medal roll for the QSA for the Sherwood Foresters would give entitlements. The DSO book also mentions the QSA with four clasps.
