Can anyone advise if there is a site showing the parishes of Scotland in the 19thC. From GRO searches I find parishes listed of my likely ancestors but sites like Genuki do not list some of them and some maps do not show parishes.

Hi, Brian
Google found this scotlands family.
I would doubt the parish boundaries have changed much since 19C but honestly don't know.

Thanks for the link Mary, but I could not find a parish of Stitchel & Hume. Any suggestions?

Mary, no Cairns. My puzzle is the marriage of John Turnbull. One of the likely dates throws up a marriage to a Margaret McLean in the parish of Sitchel and Hume 17/12/1823. The date is really a bit late as the one I am looking for had a daughter born about 1821. The location is within the ball park ( I hadn't a clue where it was ) as the parishes of Duns and Fogo are likely. However Fogo is a bit late date wise and there seems to be nothing listed in OPR for Duns for the period. My brick wall is getting higher and thicker. Thanks for your input.
