I am new to this forum and I am seeking anyone who has acces to archives of The Times Newsapaper.
I have been given the reference from Palmers Index for the article which is from 25 Oct 1873 page 11 col. e and reads 'Police Haviland, Mary Elizabeth, for cutting and wounding'
I am intrigued what happened next!
Thanks for any assistance - Pete

Hi Pete,

I have your article, and will attempt to send a PDF attachment. The article starts at the bottom of the fifth column and begins " At Clerkenwell, Mary Elizabeth Haviland..."

If the attachment doesn't come through, I would be happy to send it to your personal e-mail address.

Regards,

Pam

Thanks Pam
I have recived the article from another member. Being new to the site I posted the inquiry on the General Family History Board.
Thanks again for you reply. It would be interesting to get the details of the Trial to see what happened to Mary - She did end up as an inmate in Broadmoor (mental asylum - criminal). The daughter Elizabeth was in an institution until her death at the age of 95.
Sad story!
Regards Pete
