From the link to the Bassetlaw museum photos website, I have found a picture of the Bridge Tea Rooms in blyth, now the site of the Charnwood Hotel. It was owned by my great grandad Wilfred Draycott Fretwell from c1939 to c1945 and after this it was owned by his son Wilf and daughter in law Beaty. It was popular with cyclists and above the cafe was a dormitory with many beds. To the side was a bungalow where the family lived. Also on the site were some caravans. Does anyone have any further informaton about the cafe or does anyone know where I might be able to find more photos?
