I'd like to just say hi as i've only just signed up for this site. Im beginning our family history on my dads side (mum's doing her side) and on my hubby's side.

Somthing about me, my name is Debs, i'm 37, married to Simon and mum to 4 gremlins! Oldest boys are 17 and 15, dd is 9 and baby is 19 months. I work from home (online craft retailer) and am a faithful mormon. I enjoy chatting (got a bit of a mad sense of humour i'm told!) and i love scrapbooking, cardmaking, cross stitch, reading and loads more to list.

Not sure where to start with all this, but i'm sure looking forward to finding out!!

Hope to speak to someone soon

Debs

Hi Debs |wave|

Welcome to the Forum. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself. There are lots of very knowledgeable people, who will point you in the right direction when you get lost. You'll find family history great fun and at times extremely frustrating. Best of luck in your research.

Hi to you both! Lovely welcome there....i'm looking forward to the footie being on so i can sit and go through the site without feeling guilty of neglecting the hubby!! lol

Family History....sounds like a good starting point to me! Hope I dont sound repetitive if/when I get some questions (which is undoubtedly gonna be the case!)

Chat to you later, off to put baby to bed.

I second all those emoticons below! This is a great bunch of people at BG Forums, and some have gone out pub-less into the rainy wilds of Lambeth looking for long-lost addresses for me, have gone for Sunday drives in Essex to check out whether a certain house still stands or not, taken pictures of places connected with my family, and driven husbands mad by muttering assorted Monmouthshire place names in various accents in an attempt to decode a strange census birthplace entry. All with a great deal of self-deprecating humour and immense goodwill. I am sure you will enjoy it here.
