PICKARD (1861/1871 Lookup?) Newcastle

Hi,
I'm trying to find details of a PICKARD Family in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

As far as I'm aware the family unit in 1861 consisted of
Bartholomew (born Aysgarth, aged 27)
Frances (nee Hauxwell) (born Bellerby, aged 25)
Joseph (born Leyburn; aged 3)

although I cannot find an 1861 or 1871 census entry for this family, I have reason to believe they moved to Newcastle at some point. Joseph went on to marry Isabella (nee Tuck) and they had nine children all born in Newcastle.

If anyone is reasearching these families or has any information that
might be of assistance, I would love to hear from you. I am particularly keen to discover addresses and whether Joseph had any siblings.

I'm trying to put together the pieces of your previous research.
Using the IGI I found the entries to follow.
Have you tried to find this family on the 1881 census ?
**My opinion-- you need to order some certificates to be sure that you are on the correct trail. Start with what you know FOR SURE and work backwarks.**
Based on the sources and the information, are you sure you are dealing with the same Bartholomew Pickard ?
The Christening entry taken from the parish records seems to indicate thet he was baptised in 1833 which is a year before the birth indicated on the marriage entry which is based on research from an unknown source. IF, either of these leads are correct, here are some Birth/Marriage/Death entries that may assist you in ordering certificates that will clarify things. The cert. info is at the bottom of the page and may be ordered online.

Bartholomew's father was Joseph (b.1859), son of Bartholomew Pickard who married Frances Hauxwell (b. 1832).
Joseph is my G G Uncle.
What is John Hauxwell Pickard's position on the family tree? The only John Pickard (son of above Bartholomew and Frances) I can see who might fit was born in 1825 which means he is too old to be your grandfather.

Yes. This Bartholomew (b.1833/4) is the same one that subsequently married Frances Hauxwell in 1856.

I have Bartholomew Pickard (b. 1833) marrying Frances Hauxwell (b. 1832).
They had two children: Joseph (born Leyburn, 1859) and Mary Pickard (born Bellerby, 1862).
Joseph took his family to Newcastle Upon Tyne and is listed in the 1901 census as residing at 8 Riddle Court, Elswick.
Joseph is my Great Great Paternal Grandfather.

Joseph and Mary had at least 9 children one of whom is your grandfather John. His elder brother Andrew is my Great grandfather. :)
