Could you help me with my Soults and Yates? Frederick Henry SOULT and Elizabeth Eleanor YATES.
I don't know very much about them and don't have them on any census yet. They had a daughter Lucy born 13 May 1895 at 9 Pitmaston Road Worcestershire, but her birth cert is all I have had to go on.
And a marriage entry on FreeBMD -
Frederick Henry Soult married Elizabeth Eleanor Yates Mar 1/4 1894 Shipton on Stour District Worcestershire.
Frederick worked on the Railway, and I think he was from Bransford in Worcestershire, but I don't know about her. He was sometimes known as Henry.
I have just found them on the 1901 using an intelligent search they are listed as SOUTH! Living in Gloucester, can anyone access any further information about this entry, as I can only do the search.

According to Hugh Wallis's IGI site, Robert YATES married Lucy SMITH at Campden on 25 December 1845. Therefore from the 1841 census of Campden, this looks like Lucy and family:
HO107/360/24, folio 32, page 15
High Street, Berrington, Chipping Campden
John SMITH 50 Ag Lab Born in county yes
Sarah do 40 yes
Lucy do 19 yes
William do 15 yes
Edward do 5 yes
And in the same house, but shown as a different household
Mary WEBB 78 Ind yes
If you go to Allan Taylor's Cotswold site (http://members.shaw.ca/panthers1/tayfam.html) and follow the RESEARCHER page link, then go to Chipping Campden link you will find that Campden marriages from 1717 to 1837 have been transcribed so you may be able to find the marriage of John & Sarah SMITH there. Allan Taylor's site is a mine of information for anyone researching ancestors in the Cotswold area. I can't find Robert YATES in Aston Subedge in the 1841, but he and Lucy are in Campden in the 1851 census:
HO107/2076, folio 120, page 16
Schedule 63, High Street
Robert YATES Head M 27 Farm Labourer Gloster Aston Subedge
Lucy do Wife M 26 do Campden
William do Son 4 do do
Maryann do Daur 2 do do
Sarah do Daur 3m do do
In the 1861 of Campden (RG9/2237, folio 111/2, pages 4/5), Robert, Lucy and family are staying with Lucy's mother Sarah SMITH who is a widowed shopkeeper in the High Street.
Hope this helps.

Thanks to both of you.
This is fantastic news, I haven't gone through it all yet but I am very happy with all you have done.
I am supposed to be working, so I haven't got my database in front of me. I will go through it all later and try to digest eveything.
Wonderful, thanks again.
