i am doing the family tree of ''shot at dawn'' pte harry salter (born bridgwater,somerset 1892)executed in 1915.i want to trace his line to 1841.
there was no problems with 1901,1891 but i cant find the family in 1881 there should be
daniel salter born favington,devon 1845 in 1891 he was a victullar
wife charlotte born hinton st george somerset 1845
mary born exmouth devon 1876
arthur born hinton st george 1877
robert born hinton st george 1880
i did find one family but nothing adds up.
so perhaps they didnt register in 1881.so i am hoping some one will have 1871 census to see if daniel is there
