I have now found ggg grandfather Abraham Taylor, he is a parchment maker and moved around a lot. Flora married George Eveleigh in London, Isabella married in Emsworth to George Dridge (which is our side of the family), I do have them on 1851 and some further on its going back now. Abraham could have married Elizabeth Fielder in 1832 in Buriton. Some of the children were born there so the % is higher now. Just waiting for a certificate to come of one of the younger children to prove mothers surname,
The sons followed in fathers footsteps as Parchment makers, does anyone know if they had to do an apprenticeship for this, they would have learnt the trade from their father so I am hoping that Abraham did with his.
Can't get on batch numbers to check Tilehurst yet so hope someone can answer my question please
Irene
