Part of a Marriage Certificate

Hi

Wonder if someone can help. I live in Australia.

I have a hand written notation of part of a Marriage certificate found amongst my Grandmother's Possessions.

The names below could have been the parties - perhaps the witnesses, but it is worth a try. The only thing that is a constant in my family is the name Louisa. The names below are not Family names, but discovery might trigger a lead. Family names being researched are, FAWCETT, WISS, DIACONO.




Alfred William Whittick Wyndham Road

Louisa Jumes (James?) Soms Old Kent Road

6.8.1854.


I know this is a shot in the dark, but it just might bring something to light.

Hi Lucy,

Probably of no use to you whatsoever, as I can't help with the bit of the certificate, but one of my family lines are FAWCETT's.

They were from the Liversedge, Heckmondwike area which is in the West Riding of Yorkshire (now called West Yorkshire) in England.

Thank you for your reply - seems it was a longshot.

My Fawcetts come from Shoreditch. That is where my Father was born.
