I know this isnt quite the right place to post but wasnt sure where else to put this.

Can anyone tell me how i can obtain a death cert for my Great Uncle, percy Lilly, who was killed in action during WW1 and is buried in Belgium?

If you go to the WW1 board, you'll find the answer to your question.

if you know the date. you can go the the GRO and order the cert as an 'overseas event'. my ancestors also died overseas, in France, in WW1. and I have the GRO ref numbers to order the certs online.

Thank you,

I have located the GRO ref from 1837 and have ordered the cert now. Ive learnt something new again in my 'family history journey'!!!!!
