Anyone got any Coventrys in their trees. My uncle married Gladys Ethel Coventry b. 1917, 1st June 1945. Her father was Arthur Henry Coventry. They were married at St Paul's Church Camberley, Surrey. And that is all I have on her family. Uncle Frank bought Gladys back to NZ after they married, he had been a POW for four years. Anyone able help to shed some light on Gladys's family.

Hi Val,
Thanks for that. Her mother's name was Windsor? I know very very little about her, even though she was my aunt, so I can't tell you if she had siblings or not. All I know is what is on her marriage certificate. I never meet her as far as I known (maybe as a toddler).

Hi Val,
I'm back again.
I've just spent God knowns how long messing about on a number of sites and now have Gladys's mother full name. She was Ethel M.E. Windsor! Don't know what the M.E. stands for yet, but that not a problem. It always amazes me that one little piece of information can open a whole bag of worms and lead you to alsorts of other informtion. :)
Thanks again

Hi Val,
This is the information I've got so far - and its not making too much sense yet.
Arthur H. Coventry m Ethel M. E. Windsor 1912. FreeBMD
Arthur H. Coventry b. Willesden 1889. Census 1891
Ethel M.E.Windsor b. Hempton 1881. Census 1881 1 month old.
James Windsor b. 1859 Henden and Marion ? b 1861 Hampstead are Ethel's parents.
Now is this the same Ethel and Arthur? At first glance I would say yes but, she is 10 years older than he is?? Possible.
What do you think?

No, I hadn't started on the deaths though that fits with when his last son was b. 1894 as James doesn't show up in 1901. His wife Marion is listed as Maria, just to confuse things further! Be nice to know what he died of as he would not have been 37. Marion/Maria was b. it seems in 1861 Hampstead Golden Sq, according to the 1901 vensus. What or where is Golden Square in Hampstead?
many thanks Val.
