I have posted this on the Potteries forum but thought it might be prudent to post here as well, as I know that his Aunt married a surgeon from London.
Her is a question I am sure you will be able to help me with.
Where in the 1840's would a young man " learn the Medical profession " if the family was in the Potteries area.
I can see that John Drewry Carey was not with his parents in the 1841 census I presume he was sent off to school somewhere would it be in Staffordshire or perhaps would he be sent to London???????????
