A One Place Study put some flesh on the bones of our ancestors, all of use who runs a OPS web site, try hard to balance Local and Family History, and it’s a pity that there isn’t a lot more, I know of only six that deals with the Yorkshire area.
I’ve seen on some lists, were one place studies have come into conflict with Family History Society’s, the Huddersfield society that covers the some area as my web site have been very good,
Also even if you haven’t family in the area that the OPS covers, its worth wial just having a look, I know from my own experience that it has filled some brick walls.
