I am hoping to gain some earlier info on Charles Boulton B 1811 Staffs Head.

Mary Boulton B 1850-1 Dudley Wife i do have them on 1871 cen but i hope to find them at an earlier time, thankyou

Hi Lyndy,

I was unable to find Charles on an earlier census either. To find Mary on an earlier census, you'd be looking for an 11 year old girl so will definitely need her maiden name if she's married to Charles (bit of an age gap so I thought she may have been his daughter or daughter in law). Do you have any marriage details for them, as a quick look on FreeBMD also returned no positive matches, searching for a marriage between Mar 1868 and Dec 1870 for a Charles Boulton.

I have found a Charles Boulton born c 1810 in Wolverhampton in the 1861 census his wife was named Ann also born Wolverhampton c 1809. Two children Joseph aged 14 and Elizabeth aged 11. Living at No 10 Walkers Yard, Snow Hill, Wolverhampton.

His occupation was a brass finisher.

If you have acssess to 1871 cen would you kindly have a look to see if Mary Boulton is down as being Charles Boultons wife or have i got the wrong information somehow thankyou Lyndy

Hi Lyndy
I was thinking that maybe this was Charles's first wife and she died and Charles remarried.
In the 1871 Mary is entered as wife - 41 years age difference between them. Seems an awful lot.
