Was wondering if someone could help me. I have my Grandfather's Birth certificate. Reg. No. 148 18th June 1880
Date of Birth 7th May 1880
Reg District Saint Saviours,
County of Surrey

The Certificate is for Walter Robert Deller Fawcett.

The mother's name is given a Sarah Fawcett, Formerly Cutts

Their address was 98 Great Guildford St. The town area seems to be Southwark, or it could be Southwalk.

Fathers name was Henry William Fawcett and trade given as Iron-mongers Porter.

Other information I have is: Sarah was Henry William Fawcett's second wife.

Sarah cutts was born in 1838. It would appear she was the daughter of George Cutts who married Sarah Dellar 20.10.1830

Can anyone shed some light on Sarah Dellar and Sarah Cutts

No, I don't have any Wedding Certificate as mentioned. How do I obtain same - is it sent by snail mail, or printed from an e-mail and...how much does it cost?

Was there any mention of Deller/Dellar?

I am going by a pencil written notations on an old piece of paper. All I have is my Grandfather's Birth certificate regarding Sarah Cutts

I do however have two very poor, almost illigible copies of
Marriage and birth certificates. These may not be related as I think the Marriage Certificate is a First Marriage.

Sept/could be Feb 20th 1839
No. 179(?) Henry Fawcett and Harriet Eddicett
Listed as full age (I guess over 21)
The Address looks like 8 Labour in vain Crt???
Witness: Aaron Fawcett -Stone Mason?

The Parish Church is illegible - City of London.

Could read 28th of August 1840

No mention of Cutts or Dellar/Deller

The 1851 shows sarah living at home, her father is a widower, so her mother has no mention.

All BMD certificates can be purchased online at the General records office.

Deller (Sarahs mother maybe??) Sarahs mother was dead before the 1851 census.

You could try to find her death on Free BMD or ancestry, or try to get a look up on the 1841 census. I don't have this resource.

choose advanced search, enter Harriet Eddicett, 1813, England.

then choose pedigree resource files: Harriet Eddicett and you will find information about the family, submitted by a Jerald Fawcett of Utah.

maybe you could contact him... Dont take the results he gives as gospel, :D but they are well worth checking out.

This may not be of any use to you but all my Dellar's come from "Hertfordshire"
Sarah seems to be common name for Dellar.
My Sarah's dont match with your dates though :confused:

Will try to find Deller - I have both spellings. Sometimes this sort of thing happens, folk transmit a name as they hear it sounded rather than how it is written.
