Date of Death for Gladys Amelia Wood

I am trying to help a family member to find out the date of death of his mother. I tried several webpages but had no success at all and would really appreciate if somebody could guide me in the right direction.

What I know:
Her name was Gladys Amelia Wood, born July 13, 1908. She died sometimes around 1944-46 in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

Wood was her maiden name, her married name was CHAPMAN, so she was Gladys Amelia Chapman when she died.

I would need to know when she died and if I can obtain a death certificate.

I have searched the death indexes for you online and have found the following;

Gladys A Chapman aged 40 April-May-June 1949 Qtr. 9c 902 Sutton Coldfield.(the hospital here serves Tamworth district)

The easiest way to obtain a death certificate is probably on line - visit the following web site - www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/deaths.
