Am trying to trace relations with names William Henry Peters born Devonport? c1840 and Elizabeth Maria Rowe born Millbrooke?c1844, died cAug 1884
They had at least 6 children, one being my grandfather
Elizabeth's Mother was Grace{maiden name unknown}and she was born c1821 in St Just?
Any help would be appreciated as I have hit a dead end as far as this side of my family goes

I dont have the birth certificates or Marrage certificate
They are in the 1881 census living in Hackney

Thanks so much Wirrall, its brought up soooo many people Id never even heard of.
Could you find out anything about Elizabeth Rowe, Mother Grace Maiden name unknown, husband unknown apart from surname, She was born about 1844 in Millbrooke[I think]

I'm having difficulty finding Elizabeth Maria & Grace. The village of Millbrook comes under the parish of Maker, but although there are a couple of Graces of a suitable age, neither appears to have a child of that name.

Possible marriage & birth listed on freebmd:
William Henry Peters married September quarter 1864, Lewisham volume 1d page 1201. Unfortunately there is no-one else listed on the page in the transcription, also the page is very faint.
Emily Alfreda Peters born December quarter 1865 Lewisham vol 1d page 301

If you do not already have it, I suggest you send off first for the birth certificate. It is possible that all the children are not born to the same mother, which could explain why I can't find an Elizabeth/Maria Rowe being married at the same time & place as Henry.

Have info from 1881 census. William henry peters born Devonport,Elizabeth Maria Rowe born Millbrooke devon she was 40 when she died, in 1884 he 41 at time of census.

What is the relationship between Joseph & Elizabeth Maria? Do you know when & where he was born or died? In an earlier posting you say that Grace was born abt 1821, possibly in St Just. Where did those names & dates come from?
Any other info in the family bible about siblings of Elizabeth or Joseph etc?

Im assuming Joseph and Elizabeth were Brother and sister.
Elizabeth I found in the 1881 census maried to william Peters . In the family bible as stated in last email, Joseph was the recipient of the Family Bible from dying mother Grace. All the children in the bible are the children of Willian and Elizabeth.
Am I making your life complecated? I do thank you fo your help
