I've just searched 1837online for anyone living in Stonehouse (218 hits all under East Stonehouse) - no trace of anyone with the surname OLD.

-- Susan OLD born about 1814 in Abbotsham, Devon, living in Northam, Devon
-- John OLD born about 1794 in Culworth, Dorset, living in Chudleigh, Devon

Dear Trish and Geoffers,

Thank you both. I knew about little Maria who was with her Grandfather in Padstow. I have no connection to any of the others in my DB. I am fine on the Cornwall Censuses as I have my Archive CD sets and of course all the Freecens transcriptions on line for free. It is just that the mariners tended to go off to Wales and Portsmouth, Devonport and London!!

The OLDS are from down west and I have yet to find the links to "my" OLD families up here. Your willingness to look for me is much appreciated |cheers|

Hi, i have just begun my mothers side of the family search and they all seem to be living in east stonehouse plymouth devon the families names i am trying to find out about are, Balch, Mclaughlin if anyone knows anything i would appreicate it if you could let me know
