With your name being the same as my Gt Gt Grandmother's I could not ignore your request.:)
That location is actually PENSNETT not PENNEL

Hi Lottie
Thank you so much for your quick reply :)
Yes please, I would like the details from the 1851 census, thank you.
You say that Pidduck was your Gt Gt Grandmother's name - have you done any research into the family?
At the moment, I am looking for this information on behalf of a Pidduck in Seattle - my paternal grandmother was a Pidduck but I have not yet found a link between mine who originated from north Kent and this branch but never say never in this game!
look forward to hearing from you

Firstly, I am not connected to PIDDUCKs, but it was your name that I noticed. My Gt Gt Grandmother born Margaret ROEBUCK 1835 Worcester, married Arthur Alfred NASH born Claines 1833. They married in Kidderminster in 1852.
Back to PIDDUCK - noticed in Census most of the PIDDUCKs listed were born Kent, one PIDDUCK in Staffordshire born Kent but married a Staffordshire girl. Also appears to be a family of them in Shropshire!
From 1851 Census of Worcestershire -
District Stourbridge Sub District Kingswinford Township Pensnett
HO107/2036 Folio 827
Sched 063 Chapel Street
PIDDUCK Thomas Head M 29 Stocktaker Iron -works Born Ditton/Shropshire
Lucy Wife M 29 Dressmaker Born Dudley/WOR
Sarah Jane Dau. U 3 " "
James Thomas Son 8mths Born Pensnett/STS
BOURNE Hannah Sis In Law U 20 Dressmaker Born Dudley/WOR
NB in 1861 Thomas said he was born in Worcester.
Happy Hunting

Thanks again Lottie
If you have easy access to the census, please could I ask 1 more favour?
You said that there was 'one PIDDUCK in Staffordshire born Kent but married a Staffordshire girl' - could I trouble you for that information, please?
There are lots of Pidducks but the majority of them stem from the Kent line, so I am hoping that 1 day I can find a connection with those up north.
Thanks
Regards
Margaret
