Re: Thomas BROWN, married 1877, Shropshire, but living in Birkenhead on the 1881, as a Railway Porter, with wife, Mary, (nee Morris). Children are Fanny, John, Lizzie, Mary, Thomas and Alice MORRIS, sister-in-law.

My ggrandma was Alice Edith MORRIS, b. 1873, Staff Whaifton (Wolverhampton?, 1901), and I'm researching to see if she is the Alice, sister-in-law, age 6, on the 1881.

Must get eyes tested or wake up. Thought you had said born 1877, married on 1881 census!! LOL

Have you found Thomas on any other census returns?

I've found Thomas on the 1891 in Birkenhead and on the 1901 back in Shrewsbury.

I'd like to find out who Thomas's sister-in-law, Alice E. MORRIS, married in the 1890's, as it might help indicate if she is my ggran, Alice Edith ELLIS (nee MORRIS).
