I am trying to find any trace of my G. Uncle JOSEPH VICTOR STOCKS b. 1872 in Middlesbrough. He married a MARIA AGNES SMITH in 1896 in Chester. Both were living at 54 Cornwall St. Chester. Maria's father was Robert Smith publican. They do not appear in the 1901 census (anywhere). Joseph's profession was a Theatrical agent.

FYI, there's an Agnes STOCKS born about 1871 at the Cheshire County Pauper Lunatic Asylum in Upton by Chester in the 1901 census. She's listed as a patient, married and a housewife but her birthplace is not given. [Reference: RG13/3376 Folio 180 Page 44]
