Can anyone help?
My g.grandfather was Stephen Henry Maisey and the only census record I can find for him is in 1871 when he was living in London (Isle of Dogs). His name is shown as Henry Maisey & place of birth is given as Banbury but after travelling down to the local history dept of the library there I can find hardly any mention of the Maisey name let alone him in particular. 2 birth certs obtained from ONS have have proved to be unrelated (I know his father's name was Stephen from his marriage cert). There is a Henry Maisey in the 1851, of the right age, but living with grandparents in the Milton/Charlbury area with place of birth Fulbrook.
Unfortunately I know he died in London in 1875, aged 31, so there will be no records of him after that.
Be glad to hear from anyone who knows or has any ideas on finding further info.
