My grandfather, mothers side was born in cistern st, Totnes in 1868. His name was william john Melhuish.
Are there any photos, pictures of cistern street known to anyone out there?
His mother was mary ann, formally Balsina or Balsona. Does that name ring any bells? Father was john Melhuish.
