I am looking for burials for these 2 families in the 19th century...particularly John Collis about 1863 ( Putney) and Henry Coker about between 1871 and 1881 (Richmond). Please can anyone help me find them.

MurielWMuriel,

Are you looking for where they were buried or for a record of death?

There is a death record for a John COLLIS in the March quarter of 1863 in Wandsworth in London/Surrey. Putney is a sub-district of Wandsworth. Reference: Volume 1d Page 335. You probably already have this.

Unfortunately, I don't see a match for Henry COKER in the FreeBMD index.

HTH,
Trish

Thanks, Trish,, yes, I do have that reference but I am really looking for the burial record. I think it's probaably St Mary's, Putney, but not sure.

Hello Muriel

I got quite excited when I saw this post - I thought someone else was looking for Collis's - then I realised it was you ;) I've had a look at the London Metropolitan Archives site, but they only have St Mary's burials to about 1853. We'll get there - eventually :D

Glad to see you are back surfing (having a rest from the curtains.....)

bye for now
Ann

Actually I'm looking for Collis's as well, but mine are in the North of Essex. :(

Hello BD

Don't think any of Muriel's or my (actually my husband's) Collis's ventured into North Essex, but I know someone who might help ;)

Will e-mail you off Forum

Best wishes
Ann
