Is everybody aware of the message boards on Channel 4 teletext, pages 174 and 175?

Curious to know what success, if any, forum members have had with it.

I had a message on there once. I got three responses, sending me stuff I already had. But never mind. It was kind of them to write.

But a friend had a message on there and got all sorts of stuff, including marriage notices from local newspapers.

I always find it funny, though, when people post this huge message listing the parents and children and all of their ages and what relationship they are to the person posting the message ................... and then don't say what they want to know!|shakehead

Yup! I'm addicted to reading the messages every Monday morning (how sad is that!) However I have had some success in finding a distant cousin and we did 'marry up' our family trees and managed to get back to the early 1700's.

Thanks I wasn't aware of the boards. Its orgainsation seems a bit haphazard and of course slow to read but al least I can continue emailing at the same time.
