These are two of my great great uncles who I am trying to trace after the 1901 census. Can anyone help with any more details about them?

Thanks

What I know about them is as follows:

Alfred GARDNER and Ann FRANCIS had four children, Harry Pryor (b. 17 Sep 1868, 19 Marylebone Road, baptised 1 Nov 1868 at St Marylebone, d. 29 Feb 1940 at King Edwards hospital, London, buried in Hammersmith Cemetery, Mortlake); Emily (b. 1860), Willie (b. 6 Aug 1864, 78 High Street, Marylebone) and Thomas Frank (b. 22 Mar 1871, 19 Marylebone Road). Alfred is recorded as a Messenger on Willie and Thomas’s birth certificates.

The 1881 Census records the family at 19 Marylebone Road. Alfred is a 'Messenger Water', Ann a Housekeeper, Emily a Shop Assistant and Willie an Office Lad, Harry and Frederick T (Did Thomas not like his given name or did the enumerator get it wrong?) were at school. Nine years later, on the marriage certificate for his son Harry Pryor, Alfred is noted as Office Caretaker.

Ten years later the 1891 Census records the family still living at 19 Marylebone Road, London. Alfred’s occupation was then Messenger, W. Middx Water Works Co, he was 63, but only Thomas was still living at home, he was a Tailors Cutter. Willie was now married to Sarah (b. c1867 St Neots, Huntingdon) and they lived at 135 Ashmore Road, Paddington with Laurence W (b. c1890 Paddington, London) and Reginald W (b. c1890 Paddington, London). Willie was a ‘Cab Builders Coachs’.

By the time of the 1901 census the main family are back at 78 High Street, Marylebone, Thomas was still at home and Alfred had retired, they shared the house with three other families. Alfred died on 13 Mar 1903 in Thayer Street, London of ‘sudden y (b. 1860), Willie (b. 6 Aug 1864, 78 High Street, Marylebone) and Thomas Frank (b. 22 Mar 1871, 19 Marylebone Road). Alfred is recorded as a Messenger on Willie and Thomas’s birth certificates.

His occupation was noted as ‘Turncock of Water Company of 45 Hillcrest Road, Acton’. Ann died at home at 45 Hillcrest Road five years later with Thomas ‘present at the death’.
