Hi June

I came across this family in the 1881 census on LDS whilst researching the Wigley clan:

Henry Wigley 43 Joiner/Carpenter b.Belper
Caroline Warren Wigley 43 b.Brimcott, Notts
Caroline Warren Wigley 15 Box Maker
Mary Rice Wigley 4 Scholar b.Belper

Hope it might be of some interest.

I have a Pegg; Wigley; Rice connection that I cannot sort out.
Martha Rice (spinster)died 1868 her Will is as follows Executors - Samuel Richardson of Belper and Joseph Pegg of Belper.
There is a bequest to her niece Mary, wife of Joseph Pegg.
In the event of Mary and Joseph predeceasing her the bequest should go to one or more of their children.
There is a marriage on the IGI of Joseph Pegg and Mary Wigley - 2 Mar. 1845.
Fathers Benjamin Wigley and Thomas Pegg.
Does this happen to appear in your Wigley research...
Hopefully,
June

Hi June

Sorry I don't have a Benjamin or Mary Wigley in my line so far but I've currently hit a brick wall in 1851, so maybe if and when I get past that I might link up with them. If so I'll get back to you.
