I hope I am posting my query to the correct Forum, if not, could one of the Administrators please post it in the correct place for me?

My brother registered my Father's death, but unfortunately ....... he gave an incorrect birth date.

The Death Certificate says that he was born 1 August 1912 and it was 1913. Is there any way that this mistake can be rectified?

I think it is legally possible to change anything. If it is an older document the evidence needs to be certain. GRO do ammend their records where there is a clear error when transcribed from the local records.
Clearly a DOB with one year difference could be resolved, but some Birth Certificates are not correct as people lied to avoid late registration penalty.

No problem at all, it would be best if your brother made the correction and he will need documentary proof
