I had been checking the parish records of Nuneaton to find the deaths of some relatives and I found the deaths in 1841 of Faith & Hope Whadcock, and in 1845 Charity. I looked and found in December babptism records for them all having the same parents names ARichard and Harriet. Now I know it is possible that 3 children of different ages could be baptised at the same time but have just found an odd thing about their birth records. All three where regestered in the December quarter 1840 in Nuneaton
they are marked down
Charity Whadcock Nuneaton XVI 394
Faith Whadcock Nuneaton XVI 394
Hope Whadcock Nuneaton XVI 394

It is too much of a coincidence to be anything but the same family as there where not that many Whadcocks in the area. Is it normal for a family to register their children at the same time or where these children born at the same time.

I've found Charity, age 6mths, living with Richard & Harriet in the 1841 census in Nuneaton. No sign of the other two, so they had presumably died by then (the census was taken 6th june 1841). It is quite likely that they were triplets. The birth certificates should show the time of birth as well as the date if it was a multiple birth.

Got their birth certificates

Faith born 8 am 10th December
Hope born 8 20 am 10 December
Charity born 11 am 10 December

They are the first set of triplets in the family. Next set born 1994 to my sister.
