Smith in Haddenham

Hi everyone,

I have a Smith line in Haddenham, not as bad as it sounds!!

Anyone else have this family.

Mark Smith married Elizabeth Saw nee Arnott and had Edwin Smith. Edwin was Ellen Smiths father, Ellen was my gt.grandmother. Any of those names ring a bell??

My husband's family are Saws from Haddenham. I have a Thomas Saw 1804-1886 who married an Elizabeth bc1817. Could this be your Elizabeth Saw? You didn't give any dates for your people.

From memory my Elizabeth remarried before 1864 to Mark Smith so I don't think it can be but will check on what I have.

Sorry so long getting back.

Have had a little dig and don't believe it's my Elizabeth.

She was born around 1835. Haven't as yet come up with a birth for her. Long Crendon records appear not to have one.

sks found an 1841 entry for her parents were William Arnott and a possible mother was Mary.

Although I can't be sure as a marriage for a William and Ann was found in LC with a baptism for her elder brother.

So Mary may not be her mother it could be a 2nd marriage.

When I get some morer information will post it.

I have been tracking Arnott descendants and have Elizabeth Arnott in my family tree who married Mark Smith with 3 children, one of whom was Edwin.

Elizabeth Arnott was the daughter of William Arnott and Ann Holliman and my wife is descended from William's parents.

I would love to have more information on any of the descendants of Mark and Elizabeth and would quite happily share anything on my tree.
