Hi
If the certificates you offered are still available, I would be grateful to take them.
Many thanks.

I'm afraid I don't understand why you would like both of these certs? Surely only one of them could be an Ancestor of yours, as they both died the same year, similar in age, but in two different Counties.
I only want to give both certs to someone who is connected in some way to them, so would you please let me have some details?

hello...i would be very interested in these certificates as either of them could be the brother of my Great grandmother...she was born in Devon and married in Somerset, with some of her siblings moving to Somerset and some staying in Devon.
Perhaps details of the parents listed might help?

Death Certificates don't give the names of the Parents of the deceased, only the name of the Informant, sometimes with their relationship stated, but not always, as with these two certs. James Bowden was probably a relative of William's in the first one, but Edward Evans was most likely a Doctor.
You say that either of them could be *your* William, so I think your first step should be one of elimination. If you find out where your William was living in 1871 from Census Records, at least you'll know which of the two Counties he was residing in then. It will also tell you his occupation at the time, as the two listed on these certs are poles apart.
