Greetings
would some kind person please do a lookup for me
in the 1841 Census
I have the entry
"COE Edgefield .HO/107/776/27F18/3"
from the Norfolk Histroy website
but can someone please give me the rest of the info

It's not urgent
and I'm not currently certain that there is a close connection to my line
I'm just trying to eliminate red herrings on this one
as I believe all ( most ) my Coes had left Edgefield by 1841
but possibly someone returned ...

cheers
Nev

.......or possibly, given their ages, didn't move in the first place.

I think the address is Boar Lane.
Samuel COE, 75, Ind
Elizabeth, 75
Both born in county.

p.s. don't tell me that (for once) I managed to type faster than Geoffers :)

Nev say .....
It took me ages to type my one
and I still spelt history wrong
( that one took two go's )
my wife wasn't looking over my shoulder spell checking
I dont know what causes it
I have no trouble when I'm writing by hand
but when I connect to a keyboard ...
I'm sure someone keeps shifting the keys around

oh well
thanks again

Hi Neville,
Whilst checking through some stuff I came across a reference to Edgefield, which rang a bell.
I'm sure that you've got these, but in case you haven't:

Thanks Pam
actually I did know about that page
incidentally it cleared up a little mystery
you see I knew about John Coe's marriage to Ann Chapman in 1808
but he was listed as a widower ....
until I found that page I didn't know his first wife
married the previous year to Sarah Forwell

Sadly Sarah died
makes me wonder though
he seems to have bounced back rather quickly ...
must have been a bit of a ladies man

or not

cheers
