New to Brit-Gen?
We consider Brit-Gen to be a community of people all trying to help each other rather than just a family history forum. If you are new to Brit-Gen, we would really appreciate it if you could stop here first and take the time to introduce yourself to everyone. The forum is huge, so once you have said hello, please take your time visiting all the various boards and post any/all queries on the relevant forum. To avoid spam, please DO NOT post your email address on the open forum.
Don't just lurk on Brit-Gen as a guest. Get registered, introduce yourself and post your family history queries. I should mention that unlike some sites, you do have to be accepted before you can make a post (this is to prevent spammers, etc.) but acceptance shouldn’t take too long.
